"I hear, and I forget. I see, and I remember. I do, and I understand." [Chinese Proverb]
My teaching philosophy: I believe that young children learn best through exploration and curious minds. In Kindergarten we learn everyday by playing, communicating and exploring together. Discovering the world around them is a huge part of the learning experience. I truly believe that families play a very important role in a positive school experience.
About Myself: I am so excited to be in my 12 th year here at Morrice. As a former student, a teacher, and a parent here at Morrice, I love the small school and our community. Morrice is a great place to learn and grow. I am honored as a preschool teacher to have some of our youngest learners in my care. This is my 24th year in early child development. I graduated from Ferris State University, earning my bachelor degree in elementary education with my early childhood/special education endorsement.
My husband and I have four fabulous children who all attended Morrice school district. I am amazed on how fast children grow up. Veronica is 25, Ali is 22, Christopher is 20 and my youngest Josie is 15. I also have a 6 year old granddaughter Clairrisa, a 3 year old grandson, Josh, and our one year old grandson Nick. I also have 2 amazing foster grand babies! We love to travel and explore the United States. We have been fortunate to make many memories on road trips and hope to make many more.
