"Whether you think you can or you think you can't, you're right"
My favorite subject when I was in school was math, so I am very excited to be teaching math to all of the upper elementary students this year. We will be using a math workshop approach this year, which means students will participate in a variety of tasks in the classroom, such as practicing math concepts with manipulatives, developing specific math vocabulary, online learning, playing math games, and working on problems in the math journal.
Outside of school, I am an avid reader. I also love to garden and cook.
My family consists of myself, my husband, and our two dogs: Grissom and Bo. I have lived in Shiawassee County for over 25 years, but I grew up on the west side of the state. During the summer, I spend most of my time at Gun Lake where I have a cottage. When we’re there we spend time hiking in the woods and swimming in the lake. In the winter, we spend time snowshoeing in the woods.
