2022-2027 MAS Strategic Plan Goals
Goal 1: Teaching & Learning Provide a learning environment that ensures we are developing the whole child (academic, social, emotional) to be college/ career and world ready.
- Review, adopt and align rigorous and relevant curriculum.
- Adapt intervention structures to support students in achieving grade level expectations.
- Enhance the EDP process to prepare students for post secondary experiences.
- Expand course and extracurricular offerings.
Progress Monitoring Goal 1: Established a 5 Year Curriculum Review process, Implemented NWEA, K-12 ELA & Math Curriculum Review/Adoption, Updated All Curriculum Maps, 6-12 Science & Social Studies Curriculum Review/Adoption, Implemented Professional Learning Communities/PLC's, Increased Programing/Staff For MTSS/Intervention, Created EDP Manual & 6-12 EDP Program, Added AP, Online, CTE & STEAM Course Offerings.
Goal 2: Sustainability Commit to fiscal responsibility while prioritizing the needs of the students, staff, programs and facilities.
- Maintain a fund balance above 10% of our operating budget.
- Commit to staff recruitment and retention.
- Align professional development to individual, school and district improvement.
Progress Monitoring Goal 2: Awarded Several MDE Grants, 35a, 97j, 27k, 99h, 35j, 31aa, 104i, 23g, Increased Fund Balance From 11%-15%, Staff Bonus, Multiyear Teacher/Support Group Contracts/Salary Increases, Curriculum Camp, Grow Your Own Initiatives, New Teacher Mentor Programs, Wonders & Into Math PD, Science of Reading PD, Improved Human Resource Department Functions (recruitment, hiring process, projected staffing, etc).
Goal 3: Community & Communication Utilize a district plan that communicates with all stakeholders.
- Increase effectiveness & delivery of district communication to students, parents, community members and staff.
- Expand opportunities for community involvement.
Progress Monitoring Goal 3: New Website/Phone App, Supts Newspage, Social Media, Videos, Community Donations, PTO Events, Family Engagement Nights, Communication Plans.
Goal 4: Technology, Facilities & Infrastructure Offer safe and secure district facilities and technology that promote innovative and engaged learning.
- Evaluate, monitor and enhance campus safety and security.
- Identify and support the vision for instructional technology.
- Establish a facility process that prioritizes district needs.
Progress Monitoring Goal 4: Facility Needs Study, 2023 Bond Passage, Phase 1 Bond Planning & Construction, Phase 2 Bond Planning, 1 to 1 Device Program, Updated Security Cameras, Doors and Entry Systems.
